Even though there are great things VoIP offers, there is always the question of reliability. You cannot use VoIP in a power outage and signals may also be interrupted, as sometimes happens with broadband internet. However, these problems are already being solved and VoIP is becoming more reliable every day.
Another factor why everyone does not use VoIP is because this is a relatively new technology and people are still hesitant to try it.
