Lead is an element with a bluish-white metallic appearance. Only mini-blinds made of vinyl, especially those imported from China, Mexico, Indonesia and Taiwan, sometimes contain lead. The paint that was used was not lead-based; however, the plastic itself may have a high lead content. If the blinds are deteriorated by sunlight, the dust formed may have a high lead content.
