The easiest way to clean vertical fabric blinds is to remove them from the window and take out the plates and bottom chains. Soak the blinds for a couple of hours in a washing machine filled with cold water mixed with a gentle liquid soap. The soap depends on the type of fabric.
After soaking, machine wash the blinds on the gentle cycle. The regular cycle is not advised because it may cause the fabric to fray. Repeat the spin cycle twice if needed. Let the blinds drip dry. Do not put them in a dryer.
