VoIP means Voice over Internet Protocol. It is somewhat similar to the regular landline phone but instead of carrying voice as analog signals, it first converts the voice to digital data and transmits it over the internet. This will allow for a clearer and crisper audio conversation than traditional landline phones.
And since the internet is available worldwide, long distance or international calls using VoIP are much cheaper than on traditional landline phones.
