The worst thing to do is to put off cleaning it up. Flood and sewage damage in the basement means excessive moisture, and excessive moisture is the favorite breeding ground of microorganisms such as mold and fungi.

Prolonging the damage is sure to allow mold growth. Molds can cause health problems for children and adults. Clean up immediately and get rid of the breeding ground.
