Exposure to mold can irritate the eyes, skin, nose, throat and lungs; it can also cause cold-like symptoms such as watery eyes, sore throat, wheezing, and dizziness. This type of allergic reaction to mold is common. It can even trigger asthma attacks in asthma sufferers.
Molds produce allergens, irritants, and in some cases, potentially toxic substances that are dangerous to the human body.
