Glass cover slips are thin squares of glass that are placed over the specimen on a slide. A glass cover slip flattens the liquid specimen, making it thin enough to be viewed closely.
Glass cover slips are very fragile and should be handled with the utmost care, as they break easily. Glass cover slips come in two sizes: 18 and 20 mm squares. There are also two thicknesses. If treated with care, they can be reused several times.
