To improve your credit score, you should:
• Always pay your bills on time.
• Pay your debts. The more debts you pay, the better your score will become.
• Never close your old paid-off account. This will not help you get a good score.
• If you have high-interest debts and are in danger of falling behind in your payments, do not be afraid to seek Consumer Credit counseling. It can keep you from losing your good credit score.
• Stay away from bankruptcy. Seek other alternatives. A bankruptcy destroys your credit score for years to come.
