The Daytona 500, which is a 200-lap, 500-mile NASCAR Nextel Cup race series, is held yearly at Daytona International Speedway located in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is classified as a superspeedway, with a 2.5-mile tri-oval track facility that has a seating capacity of more than 168,000 spectators. The facility includes a 3.56-mile road course and 180 acres infield.
