Most of the changes that have been made in NASCAR during the past five years have been concentrated on reaching new markets and venues. New sponsors have been attracted, and more media outfits have been used to cover race events, in an effort to reach a wider audience. One of the major changes is the entrance of Sunoco, the new fuel supplier beginning with the 2005 season.
NASCAR will also be introducing a new series of cars that will be used in upcoming seasons, which are dubbed the Cars of Tomorrow. Their new designs are based on safety precautions implemented by NASCAR, which feature reduced dependence on aerodynamics and improved handling.
