You can avoid streaks while cleaning your mirrors by polishing them with a damp cloth, removing all the dust and impurities, and then wiping them with a dry cloth. If you initially wipe your dirty mirror with dry cloth it will only add streaks to the mirror, so it is advisable to use a damp cloth first.
Some commercial glass and mirror cleaning products are also available that claim to be "streakless" cleaners. Stand to the side when you clean a mirror or window, as the streaks show up better when you look at the mirror from the side rather than straight on.
