It is quite difficult to distinguish a two-way mirror from normal mirrors. However, this can be done with the use of fingernail testing. Simply put the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface. If perceive you find a gap between your nail and the mirror then it is a genuine mirror. On the other hand, if your fingernail appears to touch the image without a gap, it is a two-way mirror.
