Peppermint and other herbs have proven effective in reducing abdominal pain for some IBS patients. Many people have been using it for a long period of time. Fiber drinks such as Metamucil and psyllium powder have also helped many IBS sufferers.
Other natural remedies include acupuncture and biofeedback. Although people do sometimes benefit from natural and herbal remedies, it is still a good idea to seek your doctor's advice and supervision before trying these remedies.
