Certifications are needed to increase your capability and reputation as a Web Developer. There are certifications you can get in different internet technologies. Some of these are:
- You should look for certifications that cover multiple types of software development, specifically in the development of a certain website. One is the CIW certification or the Certified Internet Webmaster. This program will deal with managing and improving websites. Before you become a CIW, you must pass an exam that will cover internet, basics of networking, and webpage authoring.
- There are certifications in website management. One is the Certified Dreamweaver MX Developer. It requires expertise with Dreamweaver and experience in coding and graphics. This certification will demonstrate the competency of the applicant in Dreamweaver applications. Basic knowledge of website design and supporting technologies are required to pass this exam.
- Certification on Macromedia Flash requires knowledge of Flash design, publishing, and optimization. The Flash Developer certification gives you additional knowledge on database design along with software design and web development.
