The continuous flow of air conditioning and the decreased humidity in the cabin of an airplane in flight may cause your contact lenses to get too dry. This may lead to discomfort, especially if you are inclined to have "dry eyes."
If you have a tendency to fall asleep during plane flights and you are using daily wear contact lenses, it is advisable that you remove your lenses and bring your eyeglasses on board with you.
