Students who have graduated from high school are eligible for college student grants offered by the Department of Education of the federal government. This is called an Academic Competitiveness Grant sponsored by the federal Pell Grant office. However, the recipient is required to maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA).
Typically, high school counselors and college financial aid officers can help you with the forms to fill out and give you suggestions on where and how to apply.
