Anxiety disorders are categorized into five types. They have similarities but these only differ in their symptoms. The five types of anxiety disorders are:
• Panic Disorder — an intense fear that attacks unpredictably. Palpitations, dyspnea, chest pain and dizziness characterize it.
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder — an uncontrollable behavior occurring frequently. It is done repetitively, brought by a compulsion.
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder — symptoms and chronic, and are the after-effects of a traumatic event in a person's life.
• Phobia — an unexplainable extreme fear of something.
• Generalized Anxiety Disorder — symptoms can last for more than six months, characterized by constant, extremely worrisome feelings and distress. This type or worry is never rational and has no logical reason.
