Several studies show that some arthritis medications can reduce muscle tension, which can increase pain for some people. Such studies also announced that taking these drugs long-term could lead to addiction. Some patients also claimed that when they took an arthritis medication they experienced symptoms related to a particular stage of drug abuse.
Because of this, most doctors now prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs for arthritis. Anti-inflammatory drugs are not addictive.
