Strawberries are especially scrumptious when dipped in chocolate, but there are also many other kinds of fruits you can use, such as:
- Orange or tangerine sections
- Apple slices
- Banana slices
- Raspberries
- Kiwi slices
- Mango slices
- Pineapple tidbits or slices
Keep in mind that any fruit must be thoroughly dried off before dipping. Chocolate is very sensitive, and a single drop of water can cause the whole batch to clump up and harden.
For fruits such as mango, kiwi or pineapple, do not dip them directly to keep moisture away from the chocolate. As an alternative, line a pan with foil and place the fruits. Using a squeeze bottle, a small plastic bag or paper cone (cut off corner), dispense the chocolate onto the fruits.
