Diamond rings come in different shapes that diamond-lovers can choose from; these fancy shapes are quite attractive. Different diamond shapes exhibit different fire and brilliance, since these are dependent on how the diamond was cut. The most common shapes of diamonds are:
- round
- marquise
- oval
- pear
- heart
- emerald
- princess
- radiant
A round-cut diamond is the classic cut and is very popular; most couples choose the oval-cut diamond as an engagement ring; pendants often use pear-shaped diamonds; and a heart-shaped diamond is hard to find because of its low demand. Emerald-cut diamonds are elegant but not so popular these days; and the princess cut diamond is a brilliant-style shape with uncut, sharp corners.
