The best way to remove permanent marker from wood is to use a toothbrush and toothpaste:
- Use white paste toothpaste, not colored paste or gel. Put a small amount of toothpaste on the stained area of the wood and, with a circular motion, use the toothpaste to rub the paste into the stain.
- When the toothpaste has taken on the color of the marker stain, wipe it off and start again with another application.
- Patience is necessary. You may have to repeat this process several times beore you completely remove the stain.
If you prefer, you can use a soft cloth instead of a toothbrush.
