Here's an easy chocolate fondue recipe that can be great for big parties or for an intimate party for two:
2 cups chopped semisweet chocolate
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
In a medium saucepan, heat the cream over medium-low heat for 2 to 3 minutes. When cream is hot, gradually add the chopped chocolate, stirring until melted and smooth. Then add the vanilla and stir. Transfer it to a pre-warmed ceramic fondue pot and serve.
This delicious sauce can be paired with bite-sized fruits such as whole strawberries, apple wedges, banana slices, and kiwi slices. You can also use marshmallows, ladyfingers, almond biscotti, pretzels, and chunks of pound cake.
